In 2011, after a major restoration, the historic Newton Theatre re-opened its doors as a 605 seat performing arts center in the heart of Sussex County, NJ. For more than two years it has presented a multitude of live performances with diverse programming, including world-renowned music acts, comedians, family shows and much more, in an intimate setting. Iconic performers such as Judy Collins, Lyle Lovett, Kansas, Arlo Guthrie, Jon Anderson, Todd Rundgren and The Glenn Miller Orchestra have all graced the stage. The Newton Theatre has brought back a vitality to downtown Newton and Sussex County, as only the arts can. We are a rustic country restaurant located in the heart of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Established in 1949. Dine while enjoying scenic views of the Walpack Valley and watch the deer as they come in to feed just outside of our dining room. Dine by our roaring fire, in the greenhouse, or in our wildlife room. Known for our famous Walpack Inn brown bread, large salad bar, prime rib, great steaks, fresh seafood, and our large selection of pies which are all made in-house and homemade.
